With US President Donald Trump threatening to resume attacks on Iran if the peace deal is not signed soon, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) has warned that the West Asia conflict will extend well beyond the region if the aggression against Tehran is repeated by the US and Israel.

“If the aggression against Iran is repeated, the regional war will this time spread far beyond the region, and our devastating blows will crush you,” the IRGC said in a statement on their website Sepah News.

The warning follows Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi’s remarks that Iran has “gained knowledge and learned lessons” and that a return to war will feature many more surprises.

In a social media post on X, Araghchi shared the Congressional report on US losses in the Iran war, claiming that dozens of American fighter jets worth billions were shot down by the Iranian forces.

“Our powerful Armed Forces are confirmed as the first to strike down a touted F-35. With lessons learned and knowledge we gained, return to war will feature many more surprises,” he said.

Their remarks came amid the ongoing negotiations between the US and Iran in the wake of Trump’s threat of launching renewed strikes.

According to the US President, he was just an hour away from launching new attacks on Iran but postponed them after a request from his Gulf allies.

Since the start of the war on February 28, Trump has been making several claims regarding the Iran war, including the total annihilation of Iran’s Navy and Air Force.

Contradicting his claims, internal assessments by the US have reportedly pointed towards a different story – Iran still has 75 per cent of its missile capability.

Trump has also claimed that the American Navy has taken control of the Strait of Hormuz with a military blockade.

However, Iran still continues to hold significant control over the strategic waterway.
